Fishing

If fishing is your game, the fifteen-acre lake at Ft. Boggy State Park gives you the opportunity to fish from the pier, the embankment, or small boat. It is part of the Angler Education “Tackle Loaner Program” where individuals can borrow rods, reels and tackle boxes with hooks, sinkers and bobbers.

Ft. Boggy State Park

Fort Boggy Creek State Park is one of Centerville’s favorite places to go. You can fish, swim, hike, ride bikes, grill, play on the playground, or just sit under the canopy of thick shade trees. Watch this excellent video.

Admission is free. Rut reservations for the covered pavilion must be made through the Texas Parks & Wildlife by calling (512) 389-8900. The park is open Saturdays and Sundays only, from 8 AM to sunset.
