Ft. Boggy State Park is hosting the “Dog Days of Summer” Saturday, August 30. This last big event of the summer season is free to everyone. The gate opens at 8 AM. Free hot dogs will be served from 11:30 to 12:30, followed by an address by County Judge, Byron Ryder.
There will be plenty to do all day long–swim, fish, hike, bike, eat, play, canoe (bring your own), or just relax in the shade. The park closes at 8 PM.
One of the highlights of the day will be being able to see the first phase of the cabins that are being built for overnight stays, the bridge, and the boardwalk that are under construction.
Ft. Boggy State Park continues to make Leon County a better place thanks to the State Park staff and the Friends of Fort Boggy State Park.
